I’ve been getting back into the swing of things dusting off cobwebs...prepping for shows this summer and came across this cool version of Set Them Free by @theofficialsting I believe @chrmcbride is on upright.

I loved the arrangement so much, that I thought this would be a great song for the #3basses1song series.

I hadn’t touched my @kalabrandmusic UBass in years...it was good, and challenging, to play it again!

Three Basses...One Song

This tune by @hermusicofficial is amazing...both lyrically and sonically. In the social climate we’re in, this song hits home for many of us.

Because this song is so powerful, I wanted to start a Three Basses...One Song series with it.

I’m getting my chops together on upright and thought it would be cool to showcase three different basses playing the same song. My goal here is to appreciate the difference in the approach and sonic voice of all three...but also showcasing the same role they play within a song.

I’ve been on a Joel Smith kick the last week or so. This is one of my favorites...Jesus Said It. He, along with @itskevinbond & @prophesyingguitarist , contributed so much to the world...not just Gospel music. I only met him once during my Kurt Carr days. However, he made me feel as if we’d known each other for years.

Had to do a little snipping to cut this down to a minute.
